Clean up your interior with this custom DC5 RSX Shift Boot Delete Cover Plate. Precision-cut from durable 1/8" ABS plastic, this cover plate is designed for a simple, tool-free installation—just slide it into place.

Tested for fitment with both the OEM shifter assembly and the Hybrid Racing short shifter kit. Fitment with other aftermarket shifters is not guaranteed and has not been verified. Modification or trimming of the ABS material may be required to achieve proper clearance with other setups.

Important: The factory trim piece that retains the OEM shift boot must be present for installation. The Shift Boot Delete Plate is designed to be secured and retained by this trim piece. If the factory trim piece is missing, damaged, or modified, proper fitment and retention of the plate cannot be guaranteed.

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

1. Remove the factory shift boot from the center console opening.
2. Clean the mounting area and ensure there are no obstructions that could interfere with installation.
3. Align the Shift Boot Delete Plate with the center console opening.
4. Firmly slide the plate into place. The plate is intentionally designed with a tight tolerance and will require moderate pressure during installation.
5. Continue applying even pressure until the plate is fully seated and flush with the console.

INSTALLATION TIP

For easier installation, consider removing the center console trim piece from the vehicle before installing the Shift Boot Delete Plate. With the console piece removed, it is much easier to access the opening and apply the necessary pressure from multiple angles to fully seat the plate. This can make installation quicker and help ensure the plate is installed evenly and securely.

IMPORTANT:

• A tight fit is normal and expected.

• The plate is specifically designed this way to ensure a secure, rattle-free fit and to prevent movement during use.

• If you are using the factory OEM shifter assembly, there is sufficient clearance for the shifter to fully engage every gear as intended. Due to the tighter opening design, the shifter rod may make slight contact with the plate during operation. This is normal and does not affect shifter function or gear engagement.

• The opening of this plate has been intentionally designed to be as small as possible while still maintaining proper functionality for a cleaner appearance. This allows customers to trim or enlarge the opening as needed to suit their specific shifter setup and personal preference.

• Starting with a smaller opening provides greater flexibility, as material can always be removed for additional clearance. If the opening were manufactured larger from the start, there would be no practical way to reduce it later. For this reason, the design prioritizes a clean appearance while giving the customer the option to modify the plate as desired.
