TYPE R CENTER CONSOLE NOTICE

If you have a JDM Type R center console, please include "Type R Center Console" in the Special Instructions box at checkout. Otherwise, you will receive a USDM Shift Boot Delete Plate.

The JDM Type R and USDM center consoles have different shift boot openings, so please also verify that you are ordering the correct version for your shifter assembly.

Clean up your interior with this custom DC5 RSX Shift Boot Delete Cover Plate. Precision-cut from durable 1/8" ABS plastic and professionally wrapped in red suede vinyl, this cover plate is designed for a simple, tool-free installation—just slide it into place.

Note: The installation photos above were taken using a Hybrid Racing Short Shifter. However, the plate shown features the Acuity-specific cutout, which is the exact opening you will receive when ordering the Acuity version of this product.

SHIFTER ADJUSTMENT/FITMENT NOTICE:

This Shift Boot Delete Plate was designed around a specific Acuity 2 -Way and 4-Way Adjustable Shifter orientation and shifter rod position. To achieve the same fitment and clearance shown in the product photos, users may need to adjust and center their shifter rod in a similar manner using the adjustment features provided by the Acuity 4-Way Shifter.

Due to the highly adjustable nature of the Acuity 4-Way system, shifter rod position can vary significantly from vehicle to vehicle. If your shifter is adjusted differently than the configuration shown in the product images, additional clearance issues may be encountered and trimming of the plate may be necessary.

For best results, users should compare their shifter position to the product photos and adjust the shifter rod accordingly before installation. The plate was specifically designed and tested using the shifter orientation shown in the listing photos.

Important: The factory trim piece that retains the OEM shift boot must be present for installation. The Shift Boot Delete Plate is designed to be secured and retained by this trim piece. If the factory trim piece is missing, damaged, or modified, proper fitment and retention of the plate cannot be guaranteed.

As of June 4, 2026, the KV WORKZ decal previously included on the Shift Boot Delete Plates is no longer being installed. I am currently working on a new and improved decal design that will be offered in the future.

Orders are still being accepted and fulfilled as normal; however, please be aware that your plate will arrive without the KV WORKZ decal attached.

Due to the handmade nature of the manufacturing process, minor imperfections, slight variations, or small cosmetic inconsistencies may be present from piece to piece.

Because the suede vinyl is applied by hand, slight differences in material alignment, edge finishing, or surface appearance may be present. Rest assured, every plate is carefully finished, inspected, and test-fitted to ensure it is neat, functional, and meets my quality standards before being shipped.

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

Remove the factory shift boot from the center console opening.

Clean the mounting area and ensure there are no obstructions that could interfere with installation.

Align the Shift Boot Delete Plate with the center console opening.

Firmly slide the plate into place. The plate is intentionally designed with a tight tolerance and will require moderate pressure during installation.

Continue applying even pressure until the plate is fully seated and flush with the console.

INSTALLATION TIP

For easier installation, consider removing the center console trim piece from the vehicle before installing the Shift Boot Delete Plate. With the console piece removed, it is much easier to access the opening and apply the necessary pressure from multiple angles to fully seat the plate. This can make installation quicker and help ensure the plate is installed evenly and securely.

IMPORTANT:

• A tight fit is normal and expected.

• The plate is specifically designed this way to ensure a secure, rattle-free fit and to prevent movement during use.

• This product was designed around the Acuity 4-Way Adjustable Shifter. Clearance and fitment with other shifter assemblies, including the Acuity 2-Way Adjustable Shifter, have not been verified.

• The opening of this plate has been intentionally designed to be as small as possible while still maintaining proper functionality for a cleaner appearance. This allows customers to trim or enlarge the opening as needed to suit their specific shifter setup and personal preference.

• Starting with a smaller opening provides greater flexibility, as material can always be removed for additional clearance. If the opening were manufactured larger from the start, there would be no practical way to reduce it later. For this reason, the design prioritizes a clean appearance while giving the customer the option to modify the plate as desired.

• The black suede vinyl is intended for interior use and should be cleaned gently. Avoid harsh chemicals, excessive moisture, or abrasive cleaning products that may damage the suede finish.
